I am a Visiting Postdoctoral Associate at Florida International University with Dr. Jason Pienaar. I study quantitative tools that aid in unraveling macroevolutionary patterns. I am currently interested in phylogenetic comparative methods that account for selective processes, and the use of their multivariate formulation for the analysis of morphological evolution. For example, I am exploring the usefulness of merging Ornstein-Uhlenbeck models with geometric morphometric techniques for studying adaptive patterns of canid skull shape. I am also learning about tardigrades, their amazing cryptobiotic features, and the microcosms in which they live in.
